In May 2020, the brand introduced its Eco-Box, which is being compared to a wine box due to its paperboard box with a tap for dispensing. The Eco-Boxes became available for Tide purclean\u2122, Downy, Gain and Dreft.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative is a part of P&amp;G\u2019s sustainability goals called Ambition 2030. They are committing to 100% recyclable or reusable packaging by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>The Eco-Box is one way to begin to achieve P&amp;G\u2019s goal among other product lines. The Eco-Box still does include plastic with the bag that holds the liquid detergent but uses 60% less plastic than the traditional packaging of the Tide detergent.<\/p>\n<p>When the Tide Eco-Box launched, P&amp;G also partnered with TerraCycle to offer a recycling option for the inner bag. TerraCycle is a U.S. based recycling company that collects non-recyclable pre-consumer and post-consumer waste and partners with corporate donors or municipalities to turn them into raw material to be used again in new products.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re excited to see P&amp;G make this move to become more environmentally friendly &#8211; starting with brands like Tide.
